Penicillin/Streptomycin/Amphotericin B Antibiotic Mix (100X) contains 10,000 μg/mL
streptomycin, 10,000 IU/mL penicillin, and 2.5 μg/mL Amphotericin B.  Low fungicide
antibiotic mix suites cells show sensitivity to higher amount of Amphotericin B. It is
formulated to help reduce common sources of contamination in cell culture, including
bacteria, mold, and yeast, while also supporting cleaner routine cell maintenance.
Penicillin acts by interfering with bacterial cell wall synthesis, streptomycin inhibits
bacterial protein synthesis by binding to the 30S ribosomal subunit, and Amphotericin B
helps suppress fungal contamination, particularly mold and yeast. Since contamination
can spread during cell division and be passed on to daughter cells, the use of an
antimicrobial mixture is often important for maintaining healthy cell cultures throughout
routine handling and expansion.
