Trypsin without EDTA %5.0
Catalog Number: TPS-2004
GMP Bioscience trypsin is purified to 99% by HPLC to ensure high specificity and efficiency. It is essential to use buffers free of calcium (Ca²⁺) and magnesium (Mg²⁺), as these ions can induce conformational changes that deactivate the enzyme, especially at temperatures between 40–45°C Treatment with GMP Bioscience Trypsin can eliminate the ability of mycoplasmas to adhere to cells, one of the main strategies for preventing mycoplasma contamination, which is often undetectable in culture due to its invisible contamination. Note that trace amounts of surfactants like SDS or other detergents can impair trypsin activity.
This enzyme exhibits maximum activity at physiological temperature (37°C) and a pH range between 7.3 and 8.5.
To avoid enzymatic inhibition by divalent cations or heavy metals, GMP Bioscience utilizes ultra- pure, metal-free water during production.
